Dr. Joseph Agyen Jr. Born and bred in Arlington, Texas, Dr. Agyen completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Texas and then went onto study podiatry at California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University.
Dr. Agyen is joining Yeargain Foot & Ankle after his three-year residency at the AMITA Health Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago, which culminated in his appointment as Chief Resident. Dr. Agyen also belongs to various prestigious Professional Memberships, which include: American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS), American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine (AAPSM), American College of Podiatric Medicine (ACPM), and the Texas Podiatric Medical Association (TPMA).
Dr. Agyen joins the Yeargain Foot & Ankle team with extensive knowledge and experience within the podiatry field. With surgical training in sports medicine, Dr. Agyen has a special interest in trauma, forefoot and rearfoot reconstructive surgery, and microsurgery peripheral nerve surgery. Plus, Dr. Agyen is also skilled in both minimally invasive endoscopic and arthroscopic procedures of both the foot and the ankle.
First and foremost, Dr. Agyen understands the frustrations that come with foot and ankle injuries and is always committed to helping his patients in any way that he can. With a strong focus on complete recovery and in depth customized treatment plans, rest assured you are in good hands when being treated by Dr. Agyen.
When he’s not working, you’ll find Dr. Agyen lacing up a pair of sneakers and heading off for a run or playing a game of football with his friends. Above all, Dr. Agyen loves to explore new cities around the world and spending quality time with his family and loved ones.
